Karel Čapek (1890–1938) was a journalist, novelist, playwright, poet, translator, critic, philosopher, photographer and author of children’s books. Some of his most famous works include War with the Newts, R.U.R, An Atomic Phantasy. The trail with Čapek´s The Stolen Cactus is situated in the Charles University Botanical Garden.
