Bergrún Íris Sævarsdóttir

Bergrún Íris Sævarsdóttir was born in Reykjavík, Iceland in 1985. After becoming a mother, Bergrún's love of children's books grew and she has since illustrated 25 books and written four picture books. Bergrún has been nominated for several prestigious awards, including the the Nordic Council Children and Young People's Literature Prize in 2015. In Prague she was writing her fifth children's book, focusing on readers age 5–8 years old. This was Bergrún's first residency abroad.
