The conference was jointly hosted by Czech Centres, Prague City Hall and Municipal Library of Prague under the auspices of Prague’s mayor Bohuslav Svoboda. Its aim was to acquaint the professional public with the main ideas of the project, present the forthcoming publication and bring inspiration from abroad into Prague. Bohuslav Svoboda, Mayor of Prague, Michael Pospíšil, Director-General of the Czech Centres, Tomáš Řehák , Director of the Municipal Library of Prague, the literary critic Pavel Mandys, S. Bousset (Passa Porta Brussels), S. Dogliani (Bow Idea Stores), J. Alger (Dublin Unseco City of Literature) and L. Fannin (Edinburgh UNESCO City of Literature) all took part in the conference.
